Three basic types of
tours are offered:
ESCORTED
TOURS: You are accompanied by professional tour
directors, smoothing your way and enriching your
experience. You can relax and enjoy a vacation tour
arranged by specialists, designed to make the best use of
your time and optimize your experience. You prepay
your trip, knowing exactly what the cost will be in advance,
since most elements of your trip are included in the tour
price. And you can be sure that your tour represents
excellent value, since volume purchasing allows for
substantial savings on hotels and services. You share
your experiences with other tour members and often lasting
friendships are the result.
HOSTED
TOURS: These include the features of escorted
tours, but local guides and representatives meet you and
take care of the arrangements at each stop on your
tour. You are not accompanied by one tour escort for
the duration of your tour.
INDEPENDENT
TOURS: These tours are also preplanned by travel
professionals. Wholesale rates for hotels,
transportation and sightseeing make the price of an
independent tour hard to beat. But you also have the
flexibility of independent travel, with a greater variety of
departure dates, and with many individual sightseeing
options available. On independent tours, you travel at
your own pace via rental car, or relax on board
regularly-scheduled public transportation.
